Current IssueCreating a Culture of Collaboration
PCB designers could learn quite a bit from NASA and the private companies that develop spacecraft: Every one of these vehicles is a testament to the value of collaboration among disparate stakeholders. Without a collaborative culture, the rocket might never get off the ground.
Breaking High-speed Material Constraints
Do you need specialty materials for your high-speed designs? Maybe not. Improvements in resins mean designers of high-speed boards can sometimes use traditional laminate systems. Learn more in this issue.
Level Up Your Design Skills
This month, our contributors discuss the PCB design classes available at IPC APEX EXPO 2024. As they explain, these courses cover everything from the basics of design through avoiding over-constraining high-speed boards, and so much more!

January 25, 2021 | NOTEEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
NOTE has begun cooperation in electronics manufacturing with a well-established large international medtech company, a leader in its field. It’s Only Common Sense: Nice Guys Really Can Finish First
04/29/2024 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseYou've heard the adage, “Nice guys finish last.” This hasn’t proven true for me. In fact, I’ve found it to be the exact opposite. On the other hand, I got stories about not-so-nice guys that have ended disastrously. There was the guy who fired his salesperson because he was in the grocery store buying a turkey on the day before Thanksgiving. This guy fired his salesperson on the spot, and then went on to brag about it. I wonder how that guy’s business is going today.

The skills engineers use to build products can also be used to rebuild their lives after a personal loss, something Phil Kinner learned when he laced up his running shoes after many years of a sedentary lifestyle.
