March 29, 2021 | Koh Young AmericaEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
While COVID-19 permanently changed so many elements of our life in 2020, we were still fortunate to continue our tradition of honoring our sales partners who found success despite the turmoil. Koh Young America, the global leader in 3D measurement-based inspection and smart factory solutions, was excited to recognize its ‘rainmakers’ – even if during a virtual training event in the midst a global pandemic.
Combining our award-winning portfolio of True3D™ inspection technologies with process control and connectivity software, the industry’s finest group of sales representatives helped Koh Young America realize solid results in a tumultuous 2020. Koh Young America specifically recognized the following sales Logopartners for their remarkable contributions:
- Technical Resources Corporation (TRC): Frank Mascetti, Brad Peters, and John Feliciano
- Repstronics: Jorge Quijano and Daniel Enriquez
Founded in 1993 by Frank Mascetti, TRC has been with Koh Young since our foray into North America. Frank and his team including Brad Peters and John Feliciano specialize in manufacturing, inspection, and synergistic products for the electronics assembly industry. The combined resources at TRC provide more than 90 years of experience serving the electronics industry in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
Covering Mexico and Central America, our sales partner Repstronics has been delivering equipment and material solutions for the electronics manufacturers for over 17 years. With a diverse product lineup, Repstronics delivers solutions for circuit board assembly, marking, harnesses, cables, and fiber optics, as well as maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products. Complementing its line card is a technical and commercial team of highly trained engineers who work in coordination with us to overcome challenges.
“Zig Ziglar famously stated ‘Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes,” commented Joel Scutchfield, Director of Sales at Koh Young America. “While the entire sales team at Koh Young is exceptional and maximized their results in 2020, Frank, Brad, John, Jorge, and Daniel embraced the challenge we faced and emerged with outstanding results. These elite partners deserved special accolades for their success.”

Fresh PCB Concepts: Assembly Challenges with Micro Components and Standard Solder Mask Practices
06/26/2025 | Team NCAB -- Column: Fresh PCB ConceptsMicro components have redefined what is possible in PCB design. With package sizes like 01005 and 0201 becoming more common in high-density layouts, designers are now expected to pack more performance into smaller spaces than ever before. While these advancements support miniaturization and functionality, they introduce new assembly challenges, particularly with traditional solder mask and legend application processes.
Knocking Down the Bone Pile: Tin Whisker Mitigation in Aerospace Applications, Part 3
06/25/2025 | Nash Bell -- Column: Knocking Down the Bone PileTin whiskers are slender, hair-like metallic growths that can develop on the surface of tin-plated electronic components. Typically measuring a few micrometers in diameter and growing several millimeters in length, they form through an electrochemical process influenced by environmental factors such as temperature variations, mechanical or compressive stress, and the aging of solder alloys.
