Current IssueVoices of the Industry
We take the pulse of the PCB industry by sharing insights from leading fabricators and suppliers in this month's issue. We've gathered their thoughts on the new U.S. administration, spending, the war in Ukraine, and their most pressing needs. It’s an eye-opening and enlightening look behind the curtain.
The Essential Guide to Surface Finishes
We go back to basics this month with a recount of a little history, and look forward to addressing the many challenges that high density, high frequency, adhesion, SI, and corrosion concerns for harsh environments bring to the fore. We compare and contrast surface finishes by type and application, take a hard look at the many iterations of gold plating, and address palladium as a surface finish.
It's Show Time!
In this month’s issue of PCB007 Magazine we reimagine the possibilities featuring stories all about IPC APEX EXPO 2025—covering what to look forward to, and what you don’t want to miss.

MODUL will Enhance the Drilling/Routing Capabilities of CCI
May 26, 2021 | CCI Canadian Circuits Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute

CCI Canadian Circuits Inc., a leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards in North America, announced a new addition to their machine line-up, the Schmoll Maschinen Drilling/Routing System – MODUL.
One of the main highlights of the Schmoll Maschinen Drilling / Routing System – MODUL is its automated high-precision Camera Alignment System. With this machine, the company has gained the advanced capabilities to fabricate a broad range of HDI PCBs. It has enhanced CCI’s capabilities to offer a fast turn-around for Blind and Buried via jobs and control depth drilling.
The main highlights of the machine are as follows:
- High Speed Drilling
- Non-conductive surface precision depth control and back drilling
- Advanced Inner layer registration
- Smart Auto loader for 24/7production time
- High precision Camera Alignment System
- Accurate Routing/Drilling capabilities
- Auto inspection of drill and router bits for diameter and quality
“This equipment acquisition takes CCI Canadian Circuits into the next phase of PCB technology. Over the past few years, our team has worked extremely hard to improve our quality, technology, and capabilities. The addition of this modern equipment in our existing machine line-up places us at the top of the ladder when it comes to being a preferred PCB supplier and manufacturer in North America,” said Praveen Arya, President, CCI Canadian Circuits. “This investment is a testament to our commitment to continue manufacturing high-quality printed circuit boards for our customers based on their evolving design and manufacturing needs.”
“MODUL supports Industry 4.0, and it is easy to integrate the machine data into the CCI Canadian Circuits ERP system. The data can be fetched and analyzed to increase the efficiency of the existing PCB manufacturing processes and enhance overall capabilities,” said Tamendra Thapa, Operations Manager, CCI Canadian Circuits.
