Anaya Vardya, CEO of American Standard Circuits and ASC Sunstone Circuits, has announced the appointment of Charles Wert as President of ASC Sunstone Circuits. In his new position, Wert will report directly to Vardya and will be responsible for leading the Sunstone organization, strengthening operations, developing the team, and helping drive the company’s continued growth.
Mr. Wert brings extensive manufacturing, operational, and executive leadership experience to ASC Sunstone, with a career focused on building high-performing organizations, improving operational efficiency, strengthening processes, and developing teams capable of delivering consistent results.
Most recently, Wert served as vice president of Service Delivery at DMT Environmental Technology. Prior to that, he served as a general manager at Plexus Corp., where he had responsibility for sales, engineering, and operations. Earlier in his career, Wert served as chief operations officer at Cascade Controls, where he played an important role in helping the organization achieve substantial growth.
According to Mr. Vardya, Mr. Wert’s combination of hands-on manufacturing experience, operational discipline, team leadership, and business management makes him ideally suited to lead ASC-Sunstone into its next stage of development.
“We are very pleased to welcome Charles to the ASC Sunstone team,” said Mr. Vardya. “Throughout the process of getting to know Charles, I have been impressed by both the depth of his operational experience and his approach to leadership. He understands that great manufacturing companies are built around strong processes, strong teams, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to the customer.”
Mr. Vardya continued, “ASC Sunstone has a tremendous history, an outstanding team, and an important position in the PCB industry. Charles is not coming here to change the qualities that have made Sunstone successful. He is joining us to build on that foundation, strengthen our organization, and help us become even better at what we do. His experience improving efficiency, developing people, and creating disciplined manufacturing organizations will be extremely valuable as we continue to move ASCSunstone forward.”
As President, Mr. Wert will work closely with the existing ASC Sunstone leadership team and employees to strengthen operational performance while maintaining the customer-focused culture that has long distinguished Sunstone in the printed circuit board industry.
For Mr. Wert, the opportunity to lead ASC Sunstone represents the chance to join an organization with a strong foundation while helping position it for its next chapter of growth.
“I am excited to join ASC Sunstone and to have the opportunity to work with Anaya and the entire team,” said Mr. Wert. “What attracted me to the company is the combination of its strong reputation, experienced people, commitment to customers, and the opportunities that lie ahead. There is already a great deal to build upon here.”
Mr. Wert added, “My approach has always been to first understand the people, the processes, the customers, and what an organization does well. From there, we can work together to identify opportunities to become more efficient, more consistent, and even more responsive to our customers. I am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves, working alongside the team, and helping ASC-Sunstone continue to grow and strengthen its position in the PCB industry.”
The appointment represents another step in the continued development of the combined American Standard Circuits and ASC Sunstone Circuits organization. Together, they provide customers with PCB solutions ranging from design support and rapid prototypes through advanced technology and production manufacturing.
“Ultimately, our goal is very straightforward, “Mr. Vardya concluded. “We want to make ASC Sunstone the best company it can possibly be for our customers and our employees. Adding an experienced leader like Charles gives us additional strength and depth at the leadership level. I am confident that he will work very well with our team, and I am excited about what we are going to accomplish together.”
