ViTrox Donated Respiratory Support Units to Support Penang General Hospital ICU

In alignment with ViTrox commitment to Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) best practices, ViTrox has made a donation of 5 sets of respiratory support units worth RM114,000 through the Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia to Penang General Hospital ICU to contribute to the wellbeing of the community by catering to the needs of the critically ill Covid-19 patients and to support the medical frontliners.
Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia handed seven units of myAIRVO 2 to the Penang General Hospital on 3 June 2021.
“Our organization’s medical mission is ‘safeguarding lives and health with love.’ We will continue to strive towards this direction,” Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia commissioner Khoo Boo Leong said, “Tzu-Chi is grateful to all its donors. ViTrox Corporation Berhad participated by being one of the donors.”

Gratitude & Care) and commitment to Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) best practices, we donated the medical equipment to support those in need and our kind act brings hope to the community,” said Mr Chu Jenn Weng, President & CEO of ViTrox.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s myAIRVO2 would be able to support the needs of the COVID-19 patients at the new high dependency ward in Penang General Hospital. The myAIRVO2 provides respiratory support and airway hydration for critically ill COVID-19 patients. It provides a high flow of air or oxygen mixtures to spontaneously breathing patients through the Optiflow nasal interface.
