We go back to basics this month with a recount of a little history, and look forward to addressing the many challenges that high density, high frequency, adhesion, SI, and corrosion concerns for harsh environments bring to the fore. IEC Announces the Passing of Chris Williams
September 22, 2021 | International Electronic Components Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of one of our own. Chris Williams, who worked with our West Coast IEC Team, passed away after battling complications of Type 1 Diabetes on the evening of Thursday, September 16th, 2021.
Chris Williams, who is also the son of IEC's Vice President, Chuck Williams began working with IEC's North West customers in 2008. He brought dedication, detail, and a great sense of humour to those of us who worked closely with him over the years - he will be greatly missed. Chris was only 37 years old and while we grieve his far too early departure, we are so privileged to have gotten to know him. In saying that, we cannot possibly imagine the heartbreak that has befallen Chris' father Chuck, his mother Yvonne, and his sister, Anna. The loss of a loved one is always painful - the loss of one's child is unthinkable. We will continue to lift up those Chris leaves behind, and forever wish them comfort at this most difficult of times.
There will be a visitation in honour of Chris this coming Thursday, between 2:30 - 4:30 PM (Pacific) at Springer & Son, located at 4150 S.W. 185th, PO Box 5308, Aloha, Oregon, 97006, 503-356-1000. A Celebration of Life will take place in the future and we will update you with those details once we have them.
