Emerald EMS Names Uma Patravali President of Bestronics Division

Emerald Electronics Manufacturing Services (Emerald EMS), a leading global provider of manufacturing services for blue-chip original equipment manufacturers, announced that Uma Patravali has been named president of the company’s Bestronics manufacturing division.
Patravali joins Emerald EMS with a wealth of experience. After being introduced to manufacturing by working in her father’s factory in India, Patravali earned a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University, which led to Quality Engineering roles in U.S.-based companies, including GE, Creation Technologies and Sanmina, where she served most recently as Vice President of Project Management and Onboarding.
“Uma is a leader with financial acumen and a huge advocate for team building and for creating a teamwork culture, with a hands-on management approach,” said Emerald EMS CEO Vic Giglio. “We are fortunate to have an executive with her vision and capabilities as we grow to meet the challenges of a booming global market for our services.”
“I am excited to join Emerald at a time of so much growth and opportunity,” Patravali said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to use my experience to help influence strategies and make Bestronics a truly differentiated solution provider in the Bay Area.”
Emerald’s Bestronics manufacturing division, founded in 1990, operates a world-class, 145,000-square-foot campus, including high-tech manufacturing and dedicated box build manufacturing facilities, in San Jose, Calif.
