Aqueous Technologies Celebrates 30 Years in Business
April 29, 2022 | Aqueous TechnologiesEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Aqueous Technologies is proud to celebrate 30 years in business. It was established in 1992 in response to the Montreal Protocol which eliminated many of the cleaning solvents commonly used to clean post-reflow circuit assemblies.
Beginning with a single cleaning machine in 1992, Aqueous Technologies’ product line has expanded over the past thirty years to fifteen equipment products including seven post-reflow cleaning / defluxing systems, three stencil cleaning systems, and four ionic contamination testing systems. In addition to its standard product line, Aqueous Technologies also builds equipment under private label agreements for other companies.
One hundred percent of Aqueous Technologies’ products are designed and built at its state-of- the-art manufacturing center located in Corona CA.
Mike Konrad, Aqueous Technologies’ Founder and CEO stated “I founded Aqueous Technologies with the idea that there must be a better way to clean circuit assemblies. At that time, assemblers had basically two choices, either clean with environmentally damaging and toxic solvents or clean using environmentally responsible methods which were relatively ineffective. Our goal was to design equipment that was both environmentally responsible and highly effective, allowing our customers to make their products more reliable. The result was an award winning (46 major industry awards) portfolio of cleaning and cleanliness testing products which dramatically changed the way electronic assemblies are cleaned.
Today, thirty years after our inception, we have sold more than six thousand machines to customers on six continents. This would not be possible without our talented team members, loyal customers, and reliable partners.”
