May 17, 2022 | SMTAEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Disruptions and supplier delivery times have lengthened to a degree not seen in 30 years. The ongoing electronic components shortage continues to disrupt businesses across the economy. Combined with other current supply chain issues like shipping congestion, the Ukrainian war, and city lockdowns due to COVID-19 outbreaks, the shortage is challenging electronics manufacturing.
Description automatically generated with medium confidenceTo help our membership better understand and navigate the challenges, East West Manufacturing is hosting the SMTA Carolinas Chapter in-person meeting on 08 June 2022 at 1133 North Main Street, Mooresville, NC. The event is focused on the ongoing part shortage in the electronics industry with insights from both sides of the table.
Besides a FREE dinner sponsored by Koh Young, the event includes two presentations offering different perspectives on the issues facing the component supply chain. Peter Flores, General Manager North Carolina Branch at TTI, will discuss trends and impacts from the distributor point of view, then Lee Woodward, General Manager at event-sponsor East West Manufacturing will provide his perspective from the end-user. There will be short question and answer session to conclude the meeting.
The doors will open at 6:00pm EST for a long overdue meet and greet. The presentations will begin at 6:30pm and conclude by 8:00pm EST. We strongly suggest you reserve your spot by visiting the SMTA site SMTA.org. The event is free to SMTA Members and only $20 for non-members. Everyone planning to attend must register to receive entry to the event.
