Intel’s Dr. Ann Kelleher Honored with 2022 SEMI Foundation Excellence in Achievement Award

SEMI, the industry association representing the global electronics design and manufacturing supply chain, announced that Dr. Ann B. Kelleher of Intel Corporation has received the 2022 SEMI Foundation Excellence in Achievement Award for her work promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Intel and for her outstanding leadership in the semiconductor industry.
Kelleher, for Executive Vice President and General Manager of Technology Development at Intel, accepted the award at SEMICON West 2022 Hybrid at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on July 12. Ajit Manocha, SEMI President and CEO, and Kate Dei Cas, Senior Vice President, Global Head of Delivery Systems and Services at EMD Electronics, which sponsored the ceremony, presented Kelleher with the award.
“I want to thank the SEMI Foundation for this award,” Dr. Kelleher said. “What we achieve in technology is enabled and delivered by people. Diversity in our people ensures we have broad perspectives in our technology creation and problem solving, while inclusion allows those same people to be their full and true selves while at work. The magic of technology isn’t just the technology itself – it is the what the people creating the technology are able to accomplish. I am honored to receive this award, and humbled to be included in the same group with the others who have received it before me.”
“Throughout her long and distinguished career at Intel, Dr. Ann Kelleher has been an advocate and shining example for women in STEM and upheld diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values,” said Shari Liss, Executive Director of the SEMI Foundation. “We’re proud to honor Ann with the SEMI Foundation Excellence in Achievement Award and look forward to working together to diversify the semiconductor industry workforce.”
“Ann Kelleher’s bountiful contributions to technology advancement at Intel and her exemplary role as a DEI champion are an inspiration to those who follow in her path,” said Manocha. “Ann celebrates the people who made her professional growth possible and embodies the semiconductor industry’s commitment to DEI by lifting up others during their career journeys.”
The SEMI Foundation Excellence in Achievement Award recognizes people who have made significant contributions to the global microelectronics industry and to society in workforce development or DEI.
