Würth Elektronik Returns to APEC
February 16, 2023 | Würth ElektronikEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Würth Elektronik is excited to announce their return to the Applied Power and Electronics Conference (APEC) in Orlando, Florida, US, March 20-22, 2023. For over 35 years, APEC has grown to be the leading electronic components show in North America. On the exhibition floor, Würth Elektronik will showcase its newly crafted and branded booth. This state-of-the-art design features multiple screens for interactive demonstrations. Also featured on the booth in 2023 will be the EMI Testing Table, where attendees are encouraged to bring their boards for troubleshooting by an EMI expert. Application engineers will be available to answer questions and help to solve any interference questions.
APEC attendees visiting the booth can also engage in technical discussion with the Würth Elektronik staff, explore interactive displays, pick up the iconic Würth Elektronik APEC hat, and attempt to win a prize at the minigolf green which is connected to a electronic roulette board. One of the biggest highlights of the APEC exhibition, however, is Würth Elektronik’s legendary Tuesday Night Party. Attendees can visit the Würth Elektronik booth to grab their invitation.
Prior to the exhibition, technical minds will meet at the PSMA/PELS Power Magnetics workshop, where Würth Elektronik is proud to be a Platinum Partner. Technical, Industry, and Exhibition Seminars will take place throughout the week. George Slama, Senior Application and Content Engineer with Würth Elektronik, is an Industry Session Chair and will present “Standardized Core Loss Measurement and Data for Everyone“ at an Industry Session on Tuesday, March 21. Andreas Schorer, a student in the Product Management group at Würth Elektronik, will present „A Batteryless Full Energy Harvesting System for Inside-Engine Temperature Sensors“ at a technical dialog session which includes peer-reviewed papers that cover all areas of technical interest for the practicing power electronics professional.
Alexander Gerfer, CTO of the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group, will also give a presentation at APEC: As part of the Industry Session "Industry Trends Driving Power Electronics" he will talk about "Bend the Curve! Efficiency as a Driver for a Greener Future" on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 16:20 to 16:45.

Is China Plus One Still Happening in the PCB Industry?
04/28/2026 | Manfred Huschka, Manfred Huschka Management Consulting (Shenzhen) Ltd.For much of the past five years, China Plus One has been shorthand for supply-chain diversification: reducing dependency on mainland China by adding manufacturing capacity elsewhere in Asia. In the PCB industry, however, in early 2026, it is more nuanced. It looks less like a clean geographic shift and more like a layered, capital-intensive rebalancing of global capacity, one that still leaves China deeply embedded at the center.
EDADOC: Building the ‘Neural Hub’ for High-Compute Chips Within a Compact Space
04/28/2026 | ECIOEvery chip to the market must pass a stringent checkpoint before shipment known as ATE testing. Serving as the physical “neural hub” that connects test equipment worth millions of dollars with the device under test, the performance of the ATE test board directly determines the accuracy, efficiency, and final yield of chip testing. Amid the rapid rise of high-compute chips, what extreme challenges is this seemingly small circuit board facing? How is EDADOC addressing industry pain points through its one-stop “design + manufacturing” model?
