Juki Automation Systems Is Setting New Standards in Efficiency at SMTA International 2023
September 6, 2023 | Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc., a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and systems and subsidiary of Juki Corporation, is pleased to announce its participation in the 2023 SMTA International exhibition. The event is scheduled to take place Oct. 10-11, 2023 at the Minneapolis Convention center in Minneapolis, MN. Juki’s expert team will provide live demonstrations of their award-winning ISM UltraFlex 3600S and the groundbreaking Incoming Material Station in booth 1237.
Setting New Standards in Component Storage: ISM UltraFlex 3600S
This ISM UltraFlex 3600S redefines the benchmarks in the electronic component storage market, surpassing current capabilities. Offering unmatched flexibility, the ISM UltraFlex 3600S allows users to reconfigure the unit as their needs evolve. This model outpaces its predecessor in terms of speed and efficiency in extracting and returning reels. Featuring a new robotic arm, it has the capacity to store up to 3600 reels in individual cases, enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining the storage process.
Enhancing Efficiency with the Incoming Material Station
The Incoming Material Station from Juki is designed to accelerate the registration of new reels, eliminate errors, and elevate traceability. The Autoincoming software seamlessly reads and imports information from suppliers and customers’ labels, generating a Unique ID label that can be easily integrated with pick and place machines and ERP software. Operating this station is simple: operators position the material on the station, and the station's high-resolution camera reads all the essential codes and data, captures a picture for traceability records, prints the new label, and can even transmit the UID and material PO to customers’ receiving systems, ERPs and MES software.

Overview of Soldering Systems With Vacuum
12/18/2024 | Dr. Paul Wild, Rehm Thermal Systems GmbHWhen soldering electronic assemblies, the focus of the vacuum application is on the removal of volatile substances from the solder joints and the associated reduction of pore formation. Particularly in the thermal management of power electronics components, pores can cause so-called hotspots with higher temperatures due to their poor heat conduction. These hotspots can lead to overheating of the components on the one hand and to thermally induced destruction of the solder structure on the other.
