HyRel Technologies Attains ITAR Registration, Reinforcing Leadership in Robotic Solder Component Tinning
November 27, 2023 | HyRelEstimated reading time: 1 minute

HyRel Technologies, a global provider of quick turn semiconductor modification solutions, announces the achievement of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration. This is a key step for the company, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance in the defense and aerospace industries.
HyRel's Robotic Hot Solder Component Tinning process has not only gained approval from the Technology and Manufacturing Test Institute (TMTI) but has also earned recognition through prestigious industry awards. The company's groundbreaking work includes the development of a state-of-the-art "touchless" technique for tin dendrite removal, solder alloy replacement, and the restoration of solderability. This breakthrough process is establishing new benchmarks for component reliability in modern manufacturing.
Compliant with critical industry standards, including GEIA-STD-0006, ANSI – J-STD-002, Mil-STD202, and Mil – STD-883, HyRel Technologies ensures that its technology aligns with the highest performance and reliability criteria. The ITAR Registration further reinforces the company's dedication to compliance and adherence to regulations governing the export and import of defense-related articles, services, and technology.
ITAR, administered by the U.S. Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), is a set of regulations controlling the export and import of defense-related items on the United States Munitions List (USML). ITAR registration is mandatory for companies involved in the defense and aerospace industries or dealing with items listed on the USML, serving to regulate and control the export of defense articles and services to protect national security interests.
