Intel announced the recipients of the 2024 Intel EPIC Supplier Program awards, which recognize suppliers that exemplify Intel’s standard of excellence. Intel is committed to expanding global supply capacity, delivering leadership products and enabling Intel Foundry. Suppliers are critical to furthering Intel’s technology roadmap and enhancing supply chain resilience for its customers. These award-winning suppliers exemplify world-class commitment to continuous improvement and performance excellence.
“This is an exciting time as we enter the AI era. To address the market, we’re expanding Intel’s portfolio of semiconductor technology development and sustainable manufacturing capabilities through the newly formed Intel Foundry,” said Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. “Our supplier ecosystem is essential to collectively deliver these capabilities sustainably, at scale. I want to congratulate our 2024 Intel EPIC Award winners for their substantial contributions, continued collaboration and commitment to supply chain excellence.”
Intel founded its recognition program in 1987 to establish an objective system for measuring and improving quality, innovation and performance. Today, the award criteria recognize companies for “EPIC” performance: excellence, partnership, inclusion and continuous quality improvement.
“The 2024 EPIC Award recipients demonstrate the highest levels of supplier performance across Intel’s standards of excellence,” said Keyvan Esfarjani, executive vice president and chief global operations officer at Intel. “As Intel transforms into the world’s first systems foundry for the AI era, these trusted suppliers play a significant role in delivering our winning strategy. Their long-standing commitment to safety, quality, affordability, innovation, supplier diversity and sustainability is a global benchmark for others to follow.”
The Intel EPIC Supplier Program has three award levels: The “Outstanding Supplier Award” recognizes the highest performance across all measures. The “Distinguished Supplier Award” recognizes companies where performance consistently exceeds expectations. And the “Valued Supplier Award” recognizes companies that are steadily improving across all program criteria and exceeding expectations in at least one critical area.

Materials and Manufacturing for the AI Era: The Next PCB Frontier
08/08/2025 | Edy Yu, Chief Editor, ECIO, and the I-Connect007 Editorial TeamAI is pushing hardware to its limits, and the bottleneck isn’t design anymore—it’s materials. Next-generation AI servers aren’t just heavier on layer counts. They demand better materials to handle the speed, heat, and signal integrity requirements of 400G, 800G, and even 1.6T Ethernet systems. Many server motherboards are already 32–36 layers. For the next wave of 1.6T-capable boards, expect 40–50 layers, which must maintain high-frequency performance without degrading signal quality.
