A Culture of Thriving: SMT007 Magazine August 2024
August 1, 2024 | I-Connect007 Editorial TeamEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
What creates an environment of thriving? One cannot simply command thriving; it must be nurtured, developed, and encouraged. Sometimes, it means cutting back, and other times, it means adding on capacity, capabilities, expertise, diverse business opportunities, and staff skill levels. The idea of thriving is large, amorphous, and philosophical. But it’s tactical and founded on practicality.
In the August 2024 issue of SMT007 Magazine, we cut just one of many possible paths through the Thriving concept, paying attention to leadership, lean operations mistakes to avoid, and technical research that foreshadows capabilities to come.
We certainly can’t cover all the possible topics related to thriving in just one issue; if we spark thoughts and spur you to some additional action, then we’ve done our job.

At its core, to thrive is ephemeral, rooted in an organic ideal. All living things, from plants and animals to ecosystems and people, have the ability to thrive.

Since the invention of the working transistor in 1947—just 77 years ago—our area of electronics alone has seen the first printed circuit board, the advent of plated through-hole technology, microvias and laser drilling, and printed electronics. Particularly considering the technology we support, this technical arc is staggering and should inspire a sense of accomplishment, appreciation, and perhaps even awe.
