IMI Celebrates 44 Years and Future Growth

“We are all set for the next 44 years,” said Louis Sylvester Hughes, CEO of IMI, during an assembly held at its headquarters located in Laguna, Philippines.
Hughes addressed the employees at IMI Philippines during a special gathering commemorating the company’s 44 years of existence. “Having reached this far only shows that IMI has longstanding value, experience and a global presence within the marketplace; we shall further optimize our fantastic site footprint, human resources and longstanding reputation as a zero-defect supplier to make it more efficient,” asserted Hughes. “Together, we remain strong and resilient. Let us continue to seamlessly work together to reach another level of performance in creating products that shape the future through our manufacturing solutions and expertise,” he added.
The company started as a local integrated circuit assembler with only one hundred employees in 1980. Today, the global multinational enterprise provides jobs to more than 11,000 employees worldwide and is among the leading global electronics manufacturing solutions company in the world.
From its 19 manufacturing plants across nine countries, IMI provides engineering, manufacturing, and support and fulfillment capabilities to diverse industries globally.
