Rehm Thermal Systems Invests in Future Talent with New Training Program
September 6, 2024 | Rehm Thermal SystemsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Every autumn, thousands of school leavers in Germany start a dual vocational training programme, laying the foundations for their professional future. At Rehm Thermal Systems, a manufacturer of production equipment for the electronics industry, a new phase of life also began for eight young people on Monday, 2 September 2024.
Medium-sized companies play a key role in overcoming future challenges, such as the energy transition: thanks to flat hierarchies, short coordination channels and flexibility, new ideas can be developed and implemented quickly. This innovative strength makes them indispensable players in a rapidly changing world.
In order to be able to fulfil this important task in the future, companies need well-trained and qualified specialists. "The trainees of today are our skilled workers of tomorrow and are therefore essential for the future of our company. We are therefore delighted that we were able to fill many apprenticeship positions again this year," emphasizes Joachim Erhard, Head of Human Resources at Rehm Thermal Systems.
In the first week of September, the eight young people, who will learn the professions of industrial clerk, mechatronics technician and warehouse logistics specialist, were warmly welcomed by the team of trainers and the HR department, represented by Natalie Werner.
After the introductory days, during which the trainees were given an introduction to the company as well as a safety briefing and learnt the most important basics for their future activities, they are now gaining their first experience of everyday working life. They are supported by the team of trainers and their contacts in the respective departments. The trainee excursion is also on the programme for October.
"We are proud to be able to offer numerous apprenticeships again this year and thus make an important contribution to shaping the professional future of young people in the region," says Manuela Sebabi, Head of Training for the commercial sector at Rehm Thermal Systems. "Our aim is not only to provide our trainees with sound specialist knowledge, but also to motivate them to act independently and think innovatively."

10/14/2025 | Marcy LaRont, I-Connect007After more than 50 years in San Francisco, SEMICON West moved its 2025 show to Phoenix, which is significant because it highlights the importance of Arizona as a semiconductor and tech hub. Though the show will be back in San Francisco in 2026, the overwhelmingly warm welcome SEMI received from Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, and ASU President Michael Crowe—who has been responsible for ASU repeatedly achieving the U.S. News and World Reports most innovative university ranking—was remarked upon repeatedly. All indications are that SEMICON West may well be back in Phoenix after that 2026 season.
