ADCO Circuits Demonstrates Leading Cybersecurity Resilience for the PCBA Industry
December 11, 2024 | ADCO CircuitsEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Adco Circuits, a Michigan-based electronics assembler, has reinforced its unyielding commitment to national security by achieving SensCy Score™ 800+ Club status, with a score of 873. A score exceeding 800 indicates exceptional cyber hygiene and preparation against cyber threats. Adco Circuits has also earned its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 compliance, a critical step for businesses that work with the U.S. Department of Defense.
“We’re proud to earn a SensCy Score that goes above and beyond industry standards,” said Adco Circuits President, Marc Damman. “Data security is a top priority at Adco Circuits. How you build it matters, but how you protect and safeguard critical data matters just as much, if not more, particularly in the critical defense, aerospace, and healthcare markets.”
Companies earn a SensCy Score™ by undergoing an evaluation by SensCy, a cybersecurity firm led by former Michigan Governor, Rick Snyder. Using a variety of data points, the score offers a numeric representation of an organization’s cyber health. Achieving a SensCy Score™ over 800 signifies an exceptionally robust cybersecurity posture, reflecting strong preventative measures, regulatory compliance, and effective risk mitigation.
Adco Circuits score of 873 further demonstrates the organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats while enhancing stakeholder trust and competitive positioning, particularly in regulated industries like defense and healthcare. Moreover, a high SensCy Score™ can lead to additional benefits such as lower cyber insurance premiums and improved readiness for potential incidents.
In 2024, manufacturing topped tech as the industry most vulnerable to data breaching. “We know manufacturing is a target for cyber threats — especially small and mid-sized businesses,” noted Damman, “That’s why Adco Circuits is very proactive when it comes to security. Our customers absolutely depend on us to safeguard sensitive data, protect against supply chain disruptions, and maintain operational resilience.”
In addition to SensCy 800+ Club achievement, Adco Circuits' work toward CMMC Level 1 certification further cements its reputation as a trusted partner in a competitive, regulated defense market. Adco Circuits certification is currently in the final stages of implementation and is set to become effective on December 16, 2024. CMMC certification is vital for printed circuit board assemblers (PCBAs) like Adco Circuits due to increasing cybersecurity requirements in defense and government supply chains. It ensures that companies handling sensitive government information meet specific cybersecurity standards set by the Department of Defense (DOD), and that robust cybersecurity practices are implemented and maintained.
