The traditional PC market (desktops, notebooks, and workstations) in Asia/Pacific (including Japan and China) dropped by 1.9% in 2024 to 95.5 million units, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Q uarterly Personal Computing Devices Tracker, Q4 2024. IDC expects shipments to grow in 2025, mainly driven by replacement demand in Japan.

Global PC volume is now expected to reach 273 million in 2025, still growing +3.7% over the prior year though this is a slight reduction from the prior forecast.
