Incap Launches ‘Incap Legends’ esports Tournament and Invites Students from Around the World to Participate
March 31, 2025 | IncapEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Incap Corporation is proud to announce the launch of ‘Incap Legends’, a new esports tournament in partnership with Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG). The one-day tournament will take place on 10 May 2025, bringing together student teams to compete remotely in Apex Legends, a fast-paced, team-based battle royale game.
Incap has always supported talent growth, especially when it comes to smart young people. To engage this next generation of talent, an esports tournament was chosen as a format that offers a way to connect with students and promote interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and engineering fields in general. By combining the energy of competitive gaming with a focus on teamwork, strategy, and innovation, the ‘Incap Legends’ competition aims to open doors for young people to explore the world of electronics and technology.
“We believe in staying ahead of the curve. Esports is more than entertainment – it’s a fast-paced, strategic, and collaborative environment that helps develop skills that are also essential in engineering and electronics,” said Otto Pukk, President and CEO of Incap Corporation. “Through ‘Incap Legends’, we hope to spark curiosity and build new pathways into our industry, helping students discover career opportunities in technology and engineering.”
The tournament is organised in collaboration with Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), Staffordshire’s leading General Further Education College. Known for its strong esports programme, experienced specialists, and state-of-the-art facilities, NSCG has a solid track record in delivering professional-level competitions in collaboration with schools, industry partners, and youth organisations. As a trusted partner, the college brings the expertise needed to deliver a high-quality and engaging tournament.
“We’re proud to be working with Incap on this tournament, which gives students a chance to apply their skills in a real competitive environment and connect with the wider world of technology,” said Robin Tankard, Lecturer and Esports Course Leader at NSCG. “It’s opportunities like this that show how esports can bridge the gap between education and industry in meaningful ways.”
Over the years, NSCG has continued to grow its presence in the esports space, providing students with access to real-world opportunities through competitive events and industry collaboration.
Additional support for the initiative comes from students at Tallinn Secondary School No. 32 (Tallinna 32. Keskkool), who are contributing to the project as part of their economics studies.
Key dates and participation info
The ‘Incap Legends’ tournament will take place on 10 May 2025 as a fully remote, one-day esports competition. Student teams will compete in Apex Legends, a team-based battle royale game known for its fast pace and strategic gameplay. A total of 40 teams, each with three players, will be accepted. While the tournament is aimed primarily at students, it will also include selected Incap factory teams competing alongside the next generation of tech talent.
With a €5,000 prize pool, the tournament gives participants a chance to test their skills in a competitive and strategic environment. Registration opens on 7 April 2025. As spots are limited, teams are encouraged to prepare in advance – spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis once registration opens.
‘Incap Legends’ is free to enter and open to students aged 16 and over with an interest in gaming, technology, and future careers in engineering and electronics.
