Amtech Boosts Capabilities with New SMT Lines and Advanced Batch Washing System
April 25, 2025 | AmtechEstimated reading time: 1 minute

Amtech Electrocircuits, a leading provider of manufacturing solutions, has announced a major upgrade to its production capabilities with the installation of multiple new SMT (Surface Mount Technology) lines and a state-of-the-art batch washing system.
The most visible change is the complete redesign of the manufacturing floor. Rather than simply adding more equipment, Amtech reconfigured the layout of its production floor to improve workflow, streamline material handling, and increase flexibility. This transformation enables the company to run several customer programs simultaneously, eliminate bottlenecks in high-mix, low-volume environments, and move seamlessly from prototyping to full production.
In addition to expanding production capacity, Amtech has also taken a significant step forward in product quality with the installation of a cutting-edge batch washing system. This new addition ensures that assembled PCBs meet the highest standards of cleanliness—an essential factor for long-term reliability in industries such as medical, industrial, and automotive. The system improves ionic contamination control to reduce the risk of field failures, enhances traceability with built-in monitoring and data logging, and increases throughput by processing larger loads in less time.
"These investments aren’t just about scaling up—they're about building smarter," said Jay Patel, CEO of Amtech. "We’ve upgraded not only our equipment, but our ability to respond quickly, deliver cleaner boards, and support our customers’ most demanding applications with confidence and precision."
