By signing the LTSA, Neways and BAE Systems Hägglunds further cement the long-time collaboration that started more than 15 years ago when Neways first supported BAE Systems in delivering an early fleet of CV90 armored vehicles: a platform that has been ordered in over 1,900 vehicles globally. Neways actively delivers over 300 critical components to the platform, including robust cable harnesses enabling advanced optical systems in the vehicle, greatly enhancing safety. Wherever necessary, Neways engineers enable thorough and rapid (re)engineering of key components.
The LTSA will cover all existing and future projects that Neways and BAE Systems Hägglunds will collaborate on, including vehicle introductions and upgrades for several customer nations.
Michiel van der Maat, CCO of Neways comments: “I am proud to take this important next step with our longtime partner BAE Systems Hägglunds. I believe the work we’ve done together in the past has shown we know what it takes to deliver complex defense projects to the highest of standards. The work we’re doing now demonstrates our shared capabilities can deliver the results this moment demands.”
Wim Eikelboom, Head of Procurement at BAE Systems Hägglunds notes: “BAE Systems is successfully scaling up quickly to meet the demands of European industry. Doing so requires partners that have the technical capability, reliability and engineering ability needed to consistently deliver results. The LTSA we signed with Neways reflects a next step in a proven relationship.”
