Apollo Seiko, a leading innovator in soldering technology, is excited to spotlight its expanded lineup of EF and AF Series Selective Soldering Systems, now available for live demonstrations in its newly dedicated demo room. The company invites current and prospective customers to submit sample boards for testing and evaluation as part of its hands-on approach to solution development.
The EF Series offers a simplified, cost-effective alternative for manufacturers looking for robust selective soldering without the added frills—reminiscent of the classic ACE KISS machines. Engineered in Korea, these systems are perfect for operations focused on reliability, repeatability, and affordability. The EF Series supports in-line and off-line configurations and includes essential features like laser-based auto flow height adjustment, 3-channel IR preheating, MES compatibility, and intuitive programming for quick setup.
For operations requiring more advanced capabilities, the AF Series brings high-precision automation to the production floor. These systems include features such as:
- Dual and single pot configurations
- Micro-drop jet flux application with fiducial recognition vision
- Live process monitoring via onboard cameras
- Auto nozzle cleaner and solder feeder
- Real-time solder pot temperature control
- MES integration and N₂ purity monitoring (optional)
With adjustable heating modes, high-resolution IR sensors, and advanced vision systems, the AF Series is ideal for complex, high-mix environments seeking to enhance throughput while maintaining strict quality standards.
“We’ve made a significant investment in a new demo room to help customers better understand how these platforms can address their soldering challenges,” said a spokesperson at Apollo Seiko. “We're encouraging anyone considering selective soldering to send us their boards. We’ll run them in our EF and AF systems and show the results in real-world conditions.”
