Kurtz Ersa Brings Selective Soldering and Large-Board Rework Power to EPTECH Toronto and Montreal
April 2, 2026 | Kurtz Ersa Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Kurtz Ersa Inc., a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, in collaboration with its long-time Canadian representative Comtree Inc., is headed to EPTECH Toronto 2026 on April 21 and EPTECH Montreal 2026 on April 23. At both stops, Comtree will spotlight two of Ersa‘s latest systems: the VERSAFLOW 4 CORE Edition selective soldering platform and the HR 600 XL rework system.
The VERSAFLOW 4 CORE Edition is built for shops that need a reliable, streamlined selective soldering solution without unnecessary complexity. It handles everything from steady, high-volume production to jobs with frequent changeovers. Key features include a precision spray fluxer with built-in monitoring, bottom-side IR preheating combined with top-side convection heating, and a conveyor system with programmable width adjustment. With process visualization through VERSACAM and continuous monitoring of critical parameters, users get clear visibility into each step of the process.
The system supports PCB sizes up to 508 x 508 mm and offers increased bottom-side clearance, making it easier to run a wide range of assemblies. Practical additions like flux level monitoring, pressure monitoring, and automated conveyor adjustments help keep production moving smoothly while maintaining consistent results.
Also featured, the HR 600 XL is designed for reworking large and complex assemblies with accuracy and repeatability. It accommodates boards up to 625 x 625 mm and can process components up to 60 x 60 mm, with options for even larger parts. A high-precision, motorized placement system delivers accuracy down to ±0.025 mm, supported by image-based alignment for consistent positioning.
The system’s infrared underheating and exchangeable heating heads provide controlled, even heating across large areas. Built-in process monitoring, automated steps, and software-based verification help reduce manual effort while improving consistency from job to job. It also includes automatic, contactless residual solder removal to streamline the rework process.
