OSI Systems Receives $34 Million Contract for Cargo and Vehicle Inspection Systems

OSI Systems, Inc. announced that its Security division has been awarded a contract worth approximately $34 million by an international customer. The Company expects to deploy multiple units of its Z Portal® high-throughput inspection system for screening trucks and cargo, as well as its CarView™ InLane Portal for scanning passenger vehicles. These systems are designed for use in many environments, including ports and border crossings. As part of the contract, the Company will also manage civil works, provide training, and perform multi-year service and maintenance support.
Ajay Mehra, President and CEO of OSI Systems, commented, "We are pleased with this award and to supply our advanced Z Portal and CarView InLane Portal for cargo and vehicle security. Leveraging our unique X-ray technologies, the Z Portal provides multiple views of truck and cargo content, for enhanced detection of threats and contraband. CarView offers high-throughput, multi-technology screening, scanning up to 400 passenger vehicles per hour, per lane for use at border crossings, secure facilities and other locations. These solutions play a vital role in strengthening the safety and security of global trade.”
