Hon Hai Earns ISO 37301 Compliance Management System Certification

Hon Hai Technology Group, the world’s largest technology manufacturing platform service provider, announced that Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. and Hon Hai Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. have officially passed the ISO 37301 compliance management system international certification issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI ). The certification ceremony was completed in Taipei’s Neihu Building this month , becoming the first company in Taiwan to obtain this certification, demonstrating Hon Hai’s forward-looking layout and execution resilience in global compliance governance.

In view of the dramatic changes in the global trade and regulatory environment, facing the challenges of global supply chain restructuring, trade frictions and tariff barriers among countries, and cross-border competition, companies are facing unprecedented compliance pressure and operational challenges. Foxconn's legal team launched this ISO certification project in 2023. It took nearly two years, spanning a total of 19 departments and units, and 92 colleagues invested in the audit and verification process, and finally became the first company in Taiwan to receive this international recognition!

At the certification ceremony at Hon Hai Neihu Building, Hon Hai Technology Group Legal Director Fang Guangyu attended in person and received the certificate from BSI British Standards Institution Northeast Asia Managing Director Pu Shusheng. Deloitte President Ko Chih-hsien and Hon Hai colleagues who participated in the audit and verification witnessed this important milestone in corporate governance and multinational operations. Through this verification, Hon Hai's internal compliance system was examined with globally recognized international standards, which not only strengthened the business base's ability to protect trade secrets and comply with local laws, but also improved its ability to respond and cope with export controls, technology applications, trade regulations and privacy regulations in various countries.

Foxconn Legal Chief Fang Guangyu said: "Compliance is not a cost for enterprises, but a source of competitiveness. Based on Chairman Liu Yangwei's emphasis on 'compliance with laws and regulations, and doing what we say', which is the internal code of conduct of the company, the team uses the ISO 37301 compliance management system to conduct self-examination and build trust with global stakeholders."

In order to implement the "legal and compliance" principle, Foxconn established the Compliance Committee for the first time in 2024 , with the group's internal legal team as the main driving unit, and a total of 10 first-level supervisors from the group's business groups and central functional units formed the Compliance Committee. So far, more than 40 compliance policy and other system documents have been successfully established to support the operation of the group's compliance system, and working groups have been established from the four aspects of compliance management, compliance strategy, compliance technology, and compliance investigation. The ISO 37301 certification this time is one of the key work projects promoted by this Compliance Committee.

"As the first company in Taiwan to pass ISO 37301 , this not only symbolizes that it leads the industry in the integrity and transparency of its compliance system, but also demonstrates its firm commitment to the governance aspect of global ESG sustainable development."

Deloitte President Ko Chih-hsien said: "Global multinational companies are in an era of the most dramatic changes in international regulations and trade conflicts. Foxconn has chosen to build compliance management with a systematic mindset that is in line with international standards, demonstrating a high degree of foresight and execution." This time, Foxconn introduced ISO 37301 , with the assistance of Deloitte, to establish 40 complete and flexible compliance operating standards, and conduct personnel training and internal audits, transforming compliance from "after-the-fact remediation" to "pre-emptive prevention", setting the best example for Taiwanese companies.

Legal compliance is not a burden, but the core of competitiveness! Hon Hai uses the introduction of ISO 37301 to strengthen the foundation of trust in global competition. This is an important step for Hon Hai to fulfill its self-commitment and a "trust pass" for the government, investors, and partners.

In the future, Foxconn will continue to introduce AI compliance monitoring, on-site supply chain audits, cross-border legal tracking systems and multilingual reporting mechanisms to build a transparent, accountable and continuously improving compliance culture.
