Infineon Technologies, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Startup and Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB). This strategic partnership aims to drive innovation and collaboration in the fields of mobility, energy and the Internet of Things (IoT), while reinforcing Vietnam’s growing position as a vibrant hub for startups.
As the Vietnamese government actively promotes innovation and entrepreneurship, recent trends indicate a surge in local startups, particularly in technology and sustainable solutions. This collaboration aligns with national objectives to enhance the country’s innovation capacity and support the development of homegrown businesses that can compete on a global scale.
"This partnership represents an important step in our commitment to promoting open collaboration and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs in Vietnam. By combining Infineon’s semiconductor expertise with SIHUB’s local knowledge and support, we aim to empower Vietnamese startups to drive sustainable technological advancements and address pressing local and global challenges,” said Francis Foo, Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Head for Industrial & Infrastructure (I2) and Consumer, Computing & Communication (C3) Sales Segment, Infineon Technologies.
“At SIHUB, our mission is to connect global resources with local talent, enabling Vietnamese startups to thrive in an increasingly competitive and innovative world. This partnership with Infineon is a significant milestone, as it not only brings world-class semiconductor expertise to Vietnam but also opens new opportunities for our entrepreneurs to innovate in areas such as mobility, energy, and IoT. Together, we believe we can accelerate the growth of Vietnam's startup ecosystem, foster sustainable solutions, and position Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic hub for technology and innovation in the region,” said Dang Thi Luan, Acting Director – Startup and Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB).
The MoU outlines a framework for cooperation that focuses on sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices to support promising startups within Vietnam. Both parties are dedicated to selecting and fostering startups that align with the Vietnamese government’s innovation goals, particularly those focused on digital transformation and advanced manufacturing.
