DENSO Collaborates with AT&T to Improve Road Safety Technology

DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., an affiliate of leading mobility supplier DENSO and AT&T Connected Solutions are working together to help deliver to both cities and the automotive industry with a customizable portfolio of services and AT&T-certified hardware and software to enable safer and more efficient driving experience for the traveling public.

Today's ITS applications require continuous vehicle connectivity and an end-to-end national delivery platform for optimal driver and public safety. The AT&T network provides nationwide cellular coverage and a cloud-based Intelligent Transportation Platform, while 5.9 GHz C-V2X supports localized safety critical applications. The MobiQ V2X On-Board Unit supports the hybrid communication and interoperability of services using embedded cellular and 5.9 GHz modems necessary for next generation transportation.

AT&T is trialing advanced transportation technologies, services and an intelligent transportation platform that can provides a national transportation platform and a portfolio of services to support safe movement of vehicles across the country while enabling localized services and deep integration into the cities infrastructure supporting key safety and public transportation services.
