Federal Electronics Successfully Completes AS9100 and ISO 9001 Surveillance Audit at Cranston Headquarters
September 30, 2025 | Federal ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Federal Electronics, a leader in providing advanced electronic manufacturing services, announced the successful completion of its annual AS9100 and ISO 9001 surveillance audit at its headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island.
AS9100 and ISO 9001 are internationally recognized quality management standards that set strict requirements for organizations serving industries where quality, traceability, and risk management are paramount. While ISO 9001 establishes a foundation for quality systems across industries, AS9100 extends those requirements to meet the rigorous needs of the aerospace and defense sectors, including enhanced focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Achieving ongoing certification through these surveillance audits demonstrates Federal Electronics’ ability to maintain the highest standards in process control, documentation, and continuous improvement. These systems ensure that Federal can consistently deliver reliable, high-quality products to customers in medical, military, aerospace, instrumentation, and industrial automation markets.
“Maintaining AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications is critical for the industries we serve,” said Ed Evangelista, President of Federal Electronics. “Successful completion of these audits validates the hard work and discipline of our teams, and it reinforces the confidence our customers place in us as a trusted manufacturing partner.”
Founded in 1961, Federal Electronics provides printed circuit board assembly, electromechanical integration, and system-level builds to OEMs with complex, low- to mid-volume programs. With facilities in Cranston, Rhode Island, and Hermosillo, Mexico, Federal offers flexible sourcing models while maintaining aligned quality and operational systems across both sites. This dual-facility approach enables customers to balance cost, complexity, and speed-to-market without compromising on quality.
