Continental Electronics Expands Capacity with New Texas Manufacturing Site
December 4, 2025 | BUSINESS WIREEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Continental Electronics Corporation (CEC), an OSI Systems company and a global leader in mission-critical radio frequency (RF) and microwave technologies, announced the expansion of its U.S. manufacturing footprint with a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility in Richardson, Texas. This investment marks a major milestone in the company’s continued growth and its long-standing commitment to advanced manufacturing excellence across North Texas.
For more than 79 years, CEC has operated from Dallas-area locations, supporting federal, defense, scientific, and commercial customers worldwide. The new Richardson facility significantly increases production capacity, enhances operational efficiency, and positions the company for long-term innovation in critical RF systems, high-reliability components, and next-generation technologies.
Josh Fults, VP of Operations for CEC says, “This move represents CEC’s commitment to excellence on two fronts:
- A commitment to meet the vital demands of our customers, ensuring we remain their trusted supplier of choice
- A commitment to provide our people with an industry-leading facility that will elevate our tenured staff as well as attract the next generation of talent”
CEC selected Richardson after a comprehensive site evaluation process. The City of Richardson demonstrated exceptional partnership and support for the project, working closely with CEC to ensure a smooth transition and strong future investment in the region.
With this expansion, CEC will:
- Increase its manufacturing and engineering capacity to meet rising domestic and global demand for advanced RF, microwave, and mission critical systems
- Strengthen collaboration between engineering, R&D, and production teams
- Support regional workforce growth through creating demand for high-skill, high-tech jobs
The new Richardson facility will serve as a hub for innovation across the company’s core markets, including national defense, scientific research, communications infrastructure, and critical government programs.
CEC began a phased transition into the new facility in October of 2025, with full operations expected during 2026.
