Zollner Establishes Shared Service Center in Pune, India
January 30, 2026 | Zollner Elektronik AGEstimated reading time: 1 minute
We are consistently continuing our internationalization strategy and are establishing a Shared Service Center in Pune, India. The new location will operate under the name Zollner Services India Pvt. Ltd. and is currently in the founding phase.
Operational activities will start with Engineering. Subsequent steps will include IT and procurement services – each aligned with requirements, priorities and process maturity levels. The shared service approach enables us to deliberately bundle capacities, cushion peaks and sustainably increase the performance of central functions. The goal is to standardize processes, leverage economies of scale and enhance service quality across locations. As a result, Zollner benefits from pooled expertise, increased scalability and closer cross-location collaboration.
“With the Shared Service Center, we are creating additional availability across time zones, increasing our responsiveness and strengthening international collaboration within our organization,” says Christian Giereth, Managing Director of Zollner Services India Pvt. Ltd. “We are deliberately starting agile, establishing standards early and further developing processes iteratively – with a clear focus on operational excellence.”
Since January, our first employee and Head of Shared Service Center India, Mandar Mahajan, has been strengthening our team. He is currently in Germany for exchange and training purposes to ensure that quality standards, processes and collaboration interlock seamlessly from the very beginning.
In the coming months, the focus will be on targeted expansion: occupancy of the local office will take place in the further course of the founding phase, along with the gradual expansion of the team. In parallel, we are expanding the scope of services. We continuously evaluate the next steps, adapt scaling to demand and pragmatically further develop our structures and processes – with the aim of measurably advancing our internationalization strategy and making the best possible use of the advantages of a globally networked Shared Service Center for Zollner.
