MBDA joins the Collège des Entreprises of France Industrie, the representative body for the industrial sector in France.
MBDA is a unique European group and a world-leader in the field of complex weapon systems, playing a key role in keeping nations safe. As a dependable partner, and a link in the defence industrial chain, MBDA contributes to the protection of European citizens, and the security of our nations and their allies, by providing the armed forces (land, air and sea) with complex weapons that enable them to meet all operational requirements, current and future.
“We look forward to counting a strategic European defence player among our members. MBDA's technological expertise and innovation capacity will be valuable for France Industrie's work, at a time when industrial sovereignty and security are major challenges for France and for Europe as a whole,” commented Alexandre Saubot, President of France Industrie.
MBDA CEO, Eric Béranger, said: “Joining France Industrie's Collège des Entreprises is affirmation of MBDA's commitment, as a European group, to French industrial dynamics in France and Europe. In doing so, MBDA is taking a responsible stance in addressing the sovereignty issues and priorities common to French and European industry, in particular employment, competitiveness, security of supply and innovation.”
France Industrie is the reference point for industry-related matters in France. Its mission is twofold: to highlight the essential role of industry in the French economy, and to support initiatives promoting its development and the improvement of its environment, at the national and European level. With the support of its members, France Industrie is working on priority issues for the entire sector such as competitiveness, employment and skills, security of supply, the ecological transition (energy, decarbonisation, circular economy), innovation, digital technology, French expertise, exports, the attractiveness of local regions, and European industrial policy.
