JAVAD EMS Expands Coating Capabilities with Purchase of Anda AP-3PL Plasma Treatment System and iCoat-5L JetSelect Conformal Coater

JAVAD EMS (JEMS), a leading global EMS company that provides low to medium volume, high-mix applications, has announced the purchase of an Anda AP-3PL Atmospheric Plasma Treatment System and iCoat-5L JetSelect Conformal Coating System. The new equipment enhances JEMS’ ability to deliver reliable, high-quality coatings for customers across automotive, medical, aerospace, and other demanding markets.

JEMS selected Anda Technologies as a partner to bring next-level precision and efficiency to its conformal coating process. The Anda iCoat-5L JetSelect combines the ultra-accurate JET-8600 pneumatic jetting valve with multiple coating valves in a five-axis turret head, offering best-in-class performance for both micro-selective and high-speed coating applications. With gantry accuracy of ±0.02 mm and tilt/rotation capability, the system delivers precise, repeatable results across a variety of board designs—eliminating the need for time-consuming masking and significantly reducing cycle times.

To ensure optimal coating adhesion and long-term durability, JEMS will use the Anda AP-3PL Atmospheric Plasma Treatment System ahead of coating operations. The AP-3PL uses a servo-controlled, high-speed nozzle to remove surface contaminants and increase surface energy, resulting in smoother, more uniform coating coverage and stronger surface bonding. This step greatly reduces the risk of coating failures, a critical factor in applications that demand maximum reliability.
