Custom EDM slots on a K4000 Linear blade enhance the depaneling process. They provide a space to clear the cutting path for parts overhanging the score line of a panelized PCB, enabling the separation of skip-scored PCB panels with overhanging components. Singulating these types of panels is made simple and easy with the K4000 PCB depanelizer from FKN Systek. Simply place the bottom score line of the PCB onto the linear blade and step on a guarded foot switch to bring the circular blade across the top score line for clean separation of the PCB panels. The notched blades allow the placement of components and pins extending over the V-score section. Right and left blade guards ensure operator safety. The front, back, support, and take-up tables are height adjustable.
The K4000 L18 and K4000 L24 are available with an optional light beam safety curtain across the front of the blades for additional operator safety, as well as an optional ESD-safe conveyor to bring singulated PCBs to the side for easy removal. An infrared sensor at the end of the conveyor will stop the belt for PCBs with components on them.
Scrap pieces will pass underneath the sensor beam into a discard bin. The K4000 L36 is available with adjustable support brackets on the input side. Adjustable board stops on the back side speed up score-line-to-blade alignment. FKN Systek depanelizers are made in the USA. Tooling and in-line systems are available upon request. Blades are made of long-lasting tool steel and can be resharpened several times.
