IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the industry standard for requirements and acceptance of cable and wire harness assemblies. Widely used throughout the electronics manufacturing industry, it provides guidance covering areas such as cable preparation, crimping, soldering, splicing, shielding, marking, inspection and testing.
Revision F introduces several updates to improve alignment with current industry practices and enhance clarity throughout the standard. Changes include refinements to definitions and terminology to better align with related IPC standards, such as IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001, as well as enhancements to criteria and updates to illustrations. Many figures have been refreshed or newly added to support the requirements described within the document.
