ULT Unveils Flexible Laser Fume Extraction and Filtration System
June 29, 2015 | ULT AGEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
ULT AG's LAS 160 extraction and filtration device for laser fume and dust features a new design and provides a simplified filter handling. The new filter combination used in the LAS 160 significantly increases filtration efficiency, leading to noticeable cost savings in the medium term. It also features a low-noise operation.
For extraction efficiency increase, the new device can be equipped with suitable capturing elements, such as hoods or extraction arms. Possible utilisation of extraction arms would be those of the System 50, System 75 or tube assemblies (50, 75, 50/50) from the vendor Alsident.
Alternatively, the LAS 160 can be connected to external systems for automated operation via a D-Sub interface.
ULT's extraction and filtration systems are used to remove airborne substances occurring during material processing and marking by means of laser technology. The units support modern methods such as ultra-short pulse laser processing, removing the smallest particles and emissions from a multitude of machined materials.
These air purification systems achieve the highest separation efficiency and degree of filtration of pollutant removal by utilising the most efficient filter media.
