Arrow Electronics Redesigns Verical.com
July 8, 2015 | Business WireEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Arrow Electronics, Inc. today announced the redesign of Verical.com, the company’s online electronics components superstore. The redesigned Verical.com features a new homepage with an easy-access parts search, mobile compatibility, multilingual accessibility and more prominent information about the manufacturers selling warrantied, traceable parts through the site.
“At Arrow, we work in the world of five years out to help our customers and partners innovate and stay ahead of the curve,” said Matt Anderson, Arrow’s chief digital officer. “We also apply this forward-thinking to our global business, which is why Arrow is making strategic e-commerce and digital investments.”
Arrow’s digital team redesigned the Verical.com homepage in May to provide users with faster access to the site’s comprehensive parts-search tool, where they can search by manufacturer, part number or category. Since that time, the conversion rate for users accessing Verical.com through the homepage has climbed 30 percent.
Arrow’s digital team redesigned Verical.com using HTML 5, making the site fully functional and viewable on any mobile device. As a result, Verical.com traffic from mobile devices is now up almost 70 percent.
The redesigned Verical.com also features a simplified Chinese language option. Arrow plans to roll out additional language translations over the coming months.
Finally, the Verical.com homepage now provides visitors with additional context and information about the site—including its association with Arrow. The homepage also prominently features the manufacturers and franchised distributors who publish their unsold parts at competitive prices on Verical.com.
Acquired by Arrow Electronics in 2010, Verical.com boasts the world’s largest inventory of in-stock, warrantied and traceable components—over 450 of the world’s leading manufacturers and their franchised distributers publish their unsold, warrantied inventories at competitive prices on Verical.com. Listings are refreshed as often as every 10 minutes; components can be purchased in real-time and shipped almost immediately. Existing Arrow customers can easily use their payment terms, credit lines and pre-payment discounts on Verical.com.
