Incap and Kemppi Start Cooperation in India

Incap Corporation and Kemppi Oy have signed a contract on cooperation concerning electronics manufacturing services. Incap’s subsidiary in Tumkur, near Bangalore, India, will deliver electronics assemblies to Kemppi’s factory in Chennai to be used in Kemppi’s arc welding equipment.
Ville Vuori, CEO of Incap, said, “We are very pleased to enter into cooperation with Kemppi, as their high quality welding equipment is known worldwide. Kemppi’s products have good prospects for growth, and we are proud to join their supply chain as a cooperating partner. Indian factories of both Kemppi and Incap are operating with excellent performance, and we trust that the cooperation will benefit us both.”
Janne Karppinen, Sourcing and Logistics Director of Kemppi, added, “We believe that cooperation with Incap will strengthen the competitiveness of our Indian factory. We needed in India a partner that is able to support our growth in Asia with reliable deliveries and high-class solutions”.
Incap started operating in India in 2007 when it acquired a contract manufacturing business in Tumkur, near Bangalore. The factory has today 340 employees. Kemppi opened its own factory in Chennai in January 2011. Kemppi is a world-leading manufacturer of arc welding equipment and a provider of solutions for highly productive welding. Kemppi’s arc welding equipment and the state-of-the-art technology solutions are top-rated worldwide. The company has own offices in 16 countries and regular export into 70 different countries. Kemppi’s revenue in 2014 amounted to EUR 114 million.
