Jabil's Medical Electronics Business Wins BD Global Award for Partnership Supplier of the Year
September 21, 2015 | Jabil Circuit Inc.Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Nypro Healthcare, a business unit of Jabil Circuit Inc.'s Nypro, which provides design, manufacturing and supply chain solutions to leading brands of medical devices, diagnostics and pharmaceutical delivery systems, recently won the 2014 BD Global Award for Partnership Supplier of the Year. The award recognizes Nypro Healthcare's world-class capabilities and performance beyond the customer-vendor relationship and showcases the company's value as a strategic collaboration partner.
Inaugurated in 2010, the BD Supplier Recognition Program honors those suppliers who have made significant contributions to advancing or supporting key BD initiatives, products, processes, and customer satisfaction. The program aligns with BD's overall global procurement strategy of achieving the best supply base to help the company drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence. "The award is a major accomplishment and great source of pride for us," said Randy Myers, vice president and general manager, Nypro Healthcare. "It underscores our dedication in building a partnership with BD that extends well beyond transactional business support. The partnership now spans from addressing source and supply to manufacturing and global supply chain development to support new product platforms and new product design."
On hand to speak to the importance of the relationship with Jabil and to hand out awards were Steve Sichak, senior vice president, Integrated Supply Chain; James Borzi, vice president, Global Manufacturing; and Chris Shanahan, vice president of Global Procurement. "We congratulate Nypro Healthcare for winning the BD Global Award for Partnership Supplier of the Year. In 2014, our two companies successfully executed several strategic projects, including critical launches for new products across several BD divisions that accelerated both time to market and helped us to optimize cost structures. Nypro Healthcare continues to work hand in hand with BD's Expectation for Suppliers program, helping us roll out the program to BD's supply base, exemplifying the partnership that has led to this recognition."
Receiving the award for Nypro Healthcare on May 5 at BD's headquarters in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey were Myers; Brent Stellburg, business unit director; Ed Werner, senior director of business development; and Mike Mahaz, business unit director.
