IMI Wins Agora Award for Export Marketing
November 12, 2015 | IMIEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI), one of the world’s leading providers of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and power semiconductor assembly and test services, won this year’s Agora Award for Outstanding Achievement in Export Marketing.
At a ceremony held last night in Marriot Grand Ballroom in Pasay City, the Agora Awards Committee recognized IMI for its admirable qualities of versatility, innovativeness, and ingenuity in the field of export marketing.
The Agora Award of the Philippine Marketing Association is regarded as the standard-bearer for marketing excellence in the Philippines.
Mario Bernardo Santos, IMI’s head of Philippine operations, said, “We are honored by this award. This makes us prouder as a Filipino multinational company that has become successful in our field of electronics manufacturing services.”
He added, “We are the 7th largest EMS provider in three world for the automotive segment. Could you imagine that your car’s safety electronic products are made in the Philippines?”
IMI continues to prove to the world that a Filipino multinational company can stand alongside and compete successfully with other MNCs. The company also inspires other Filipino companies to succeed in the global arena.
The variety of IMI’s manufacturing locations leads to a diversity in markets and operations, and an increase in programs to accommodate the needs of a wider client base. Such diversity helps ensure a greater stability for IMI as it continues to cultivate a broader and healthier mix of clients that protect the company from the effects of market downturns.
Beyond marketing its EMS solutions, IMI also markets the Philippines as an investment destination.
IMI announced recently that its net income for the first nine months of 2015 increased 5 percent to $22 million from $21 million in the same period last year despite the global economic slowdown and electronics industry downturn.
Asia CEO Finalist
IMI also received last night three trophies for being a finalist in three Asia CEO Award categories.
The categories included Global Filipino Executive of the Year for Arthur Tan, Executive Leadership Team of the Year for IMI Management Committee, and ASEAN Company of the Year for IMI.
The Asia CEO Awards recognize extraordinary leaders or companies operating in the country or the region.
