India has established itself as the world's third largest smartphone market after China and the US in volume terms. Of particular interest during Q3 was Samsung continuing to retain its top spot as the leading smartphone vendor. Chinese and Indian brands are offering stiff competition to Samsung with Indian brands accounting for a 42% share of the smartphone market in Q3.

The market share section covers shares by price band for both volumes and revenues. It should be noted that Indian brands now account for more than 42% of smartphone volumes in the country.
