VirTex Taps Rick Polansky to Lead Global Reshoring Initiatives
January 18, 2016 | VirTex EnterprisesEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Austin, Texas-based electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider VirTex Enterprises has appointed industry veteran Rick Polansky as the company’s senior vice president of business development. Polansky brings more than 30 years of experience in the EMS industry and will play a strategic role in sales and marketing as well as managing key customer and supplier relationships.
VirTex CEO Brad Heath said that several members of his management team have worked with Polansky when he was at other companies. "We recognize the value he brings to our team," Heath said. He added that Polansky's "contacts and experience in both large and mid-size EMS markets make him the perfect addition to manage the next stage in our sales growth."
Polansky, meanwhile, was equally excited about joining VirTex Enterprises.
"VirTex is known industry-wide for its work in the medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets," said Polansky. "These markets all share unique and challenging characteristics, such as high complexity and high configurability in a low to medium volume production environment.
"The Tier 1 EMS providers promise to service these markets with the best of intentions. But the sheer scale and operational demands ultimately distract them from adequately servicing a smaller line of businesses with complex needs. VirTex is large enough to have the right manufacturing resources and smart enough to have the right engineering capabilities with regional design partners and engineering resources."
About VirTex Enterprises
