March 13, 2016 | Surface Art Engineering, Inc.Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Surface Art Engineering, Inc., a full-service EMS provider, announces that it recently purchased and installed the Condor Flying Prober system from Digitaltest. The Flying Probe system is currently in use at Surface Art Engineering covering all their production lines as well as their prototype lines.
Jennifer Lee, CEO, said that the Condor flying probe systems allow Surface Art Engineering to provide their customers with test capabilities beyond that normally offered by flying probe systems. Digitaltest’s Condor flying probe system provides the capability to offer In-Circuit test, powered-up functional test and optical tests on the same platform. She added, “With the flexible manufacturing strategies we offer our customers, these systems allow us to quickly process data from any CAD system to generate test procedures on the Condor flying probe system. In addition, the Condor provides test capabilities and probing accuracy that allows us to access all of todays SMT and PCBA designs. As such this machine provides us with the tools quickly detect defects and allows for quick programming in prototype/NPI environments.” It has been an invaluable resource especially for our medical device customers that have utilized the full capability of the Condor to meet their validation requirements to meet and exceed all levels of regulatory compliances with confidence.
The Condor flying probe systems are configured with Digitaltest’s exclusive AMU 5 test hardware, providing enhanced measurement capability, superior accuracy and incredibly fast test rates. Motion is delivered using our high-speed, linear stator. This allows the Condor provide the highest probing accuracy while needing no maintenance. Condors test capabilities include, ICT, Functional Test, Device Programming, Optical, Opens Check and bottom side SNAP probes.
Paul Groome, Americas VP, Digitaltest Inc,. Commented: "We are extremely pleased to be working with Surface Art Engineering to provide them flying probe solutions.
