ALPHA Product Innovations Exhibited by Barbieri at MECSPE Show in Italy

Alpha Assembly Solutions, the world leader in the production of electronic soldering materials, had its advanced product range presented by its Premium Distributor for Italy, Barbieri, at the MECSPE show in Parma, Italy, last March 17–19, 2016.

Among the innovative products presented at the show was ALPHA TrueHeight Spacer Blocks, which have been specially designed to improve assembly yield when using large BGA devices. These non-collapse discs provide precise height control and burr free edges, allowing mitigation of the corner solder bridging caused by BGA warping during SMT reflow.

Furthermore, ALPHA TrueHeight Spacer Blocks aid in intrusive reflow applications where there is either no standoff function or inadequate clearance under through-hole components. TrueHeight Spacer Blocks raise the component off the PCB, allowing the solder to reflow freely to achieve 100% hole fill.

In addition Alpha’s range of cored wire products and solder alloys were exhibited including ALPHA® Telecore HF-850, Alpha’s fastest wetting and lowest spattering, Halogen-free and Halide-free cored wire product and ALPHA® SnCX Plus™ 07 solder alloy, which provides a cost-effective and reliable solution to simple and standard complexity dual-sided assemblies.
