IMI CZ Collaborates with the University of West Bohemia

Integrated Micro-Electronics Czech Republic s.r.o. (IMI CZ), a subsidiary of electronics manufacturing service (EMS) provider Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc, has collaborated with the University of West Bohemia in the field of automation.
Jean-Marie Penven, general manager of IMI CZ, visited the university and signed an agreement with Milos Schlegel, head of the New Technologies for the Information Society (a research center in CZ) and the university’s Cybernetics Department, to seal the partnership.
IMI CZ and the University of West Bohemia applied for a grant for Program TRIO, a project proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in January 2016. The program focuses on the development potential of the Czech Republic in the field of key enabling technologies such as micro and nano electronics, nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, advanced materials, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
