Concepcion Industrial Forms IoT Strategic Alliance with Ionics

Concepcion Industrial Corp. (CIC) has formalized a strategic alliance with EMS firm Ionics Inc. to develop the next generation of smart products using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This will allow the leading provider of consumer lifestyle and building and industrial solutions to develop a new range of smart solutions for their consumers.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Raul Joseph Concepcion, CEO of CIC, and Larry Qua, president, chairman and CEO of Ionics.
“The MoU is in line with CIC’s vision to build better lives by using smart solutions in our products which will provide comfort and convenience to our consumers. To be able to realize this vision, we are forming a strategic alliance with Ionics to help us develop and apply the technology to our locally manufactured appliances,” said Concepcion. “We chose Ionics as a strategic partner as we share the same vision of building better lives.”
“This collaboration brings together two reputable local companies that are both established in their respective industries, having deep understanding of the local market coupled with unparalleled global experience and expertise,” said Qua.
“IoT is an emerging trend that will offer CIC new insights into how our products are used, as well as opportunities to build a foundation for new services that will have a direct impact to the lives of our consumers, and to our environment,” said CIC-ICT Chief Information Officer Sean Byrne.
With this strategic alliance, the public can expect smarter solutions from CIC that will bring comfort and convenience to the consumers, amidst their ever changing lifestyle and in the long run will also help contribute to environmental protection.
