Syrma Technology Expands Manufacturing Center
May 5, 2016 | Syrma TechnologyEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Syrma Technology today announced a major expansion of its engineering facilities by bringing online a newly renovated 30,000 square foot manufacturing center in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Chennai, India. The advanced facility will further support complete board and box-builds for power electronics and custom assemblies, combined with full system integration to meet every customer’s precise specifications.
Syrma provides custom panels, precision magnetics, coils and conductors, transformers and line filters to more than 20 large original equipment manufacturing (OEM) customers across a broad range of industries, including telecom, medical, home automation, industrial and automotive, highlighting significant Bill of Materials (BOM) cost reductions at scalable volumes. The company also provides comprehensive box-build services, offering a comprehensive end-to-end development cycle. Product units from the Chennai facility can be conveniently shipped directly to customers worldwide via strategic access to the nearby air and sea ports of Mumbai.
“Our many conversations with OEMs revealed a real vacuum in their EMS options when it came to a one-stop, end-to-end product cycle -- from design, to testing, through production,” said Sreeram Srinivasan, Syrma CEO. “Our major reinvestment in our Chennai plant builds upon Syrma’s longtime engineering strengths, now offering a world-class dedicated facility to deliver top-quality box-builds for customers large or small.”
