Compal Electronics 1Q16 Revenue Down 25%

Taiwan-based Compal Electronics Inc. has announced consolidated revenue of NT$176.65 billion in the first quarter of 2016, down by 25% quarter-on-quarter and 11% year-on-year. Consolidated operating profit was NT$2.77 billion, down by 10% QoQ and 14% YoY.
With the continued efforts on operational efficiency, product mix enhancement, and expense control, 1Q16 operating margin rate improved to 1.6% from last quarter’s level. Consolidated net profit was NT$1.746 billion, and net profit contributed to the parent company was NT$1.6 billion. For the first quarter, EPS was NT$0.37.
