Axiom Reports Record Revenue for 2015
May 24, 2016 | Axiom Manufacturing ServicesEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
UK contract electronics manufacturer (CEM) Axiom Manufacturing Services has been held up as an exemplar of UK manufacturing excellence by the CBI (Confederation of British Industry), as the company announces its sixth year of sustained growth and record breaking turnover of £40.6 million for the year ending 31 December 2015, an increase of almost £6 million on the previous year. These results signify growth for the company across the medical, industrial, security, defence and aerospace sectors it serves.
The growth announcement follows the visit of Carolyn Fairbairn, director-general of the CBI, to Axiom's 300,000sqft state-of-the-art facility in Newport, South Wales, UK. The occasion provided an opportunity for Fairbairn to see first-hand how the company has become one of the UK's leading contract electronics manufacturers. This included a tour from one of Axiom's rising stars, Alex Lewis, who recently graduated from the company’s industry leading apprenticeship scheme.
"While we are proud to have broken the £40 million milestone, we believe that our success is best represented by the fact that we continually exceed the expectations our customers place on the service we provide," said David Davies, managing director at Axiom. "Axiom's strategy will always remain focused on adding value for our customers; this is backed up by our unwavering commitment to ensuring that any financial gains will be strategically invested into leading-edge technology and staff development.
"We believe that ensuring sustained future success is dependent on identifying future issues and acting immediately, which is why Axiom is committed to recruiting, retaining and developing talented individuals with the drive to develop. Investing in our apprenticeship and graduate programmes today, are our safeguards for tomorrow.
"It has been a pleasure to welcome Carolyn to Axiom and demonstrate our commitments in action. I’m equally pleased to see that the CBI shares and supports our belief that apprenticeships are crucial to businesses in Wales and across the UK."
Carolyn Fairbairn, CBI Director-General, said: "Manufacturing is a vital element of the UK economy, and during my visit to Axiom I saw for myself the great work being done at its state-of-the-art facilities in Newport. I'm pleased to see Axiom is going from strength to strength.
