Murata Launches Noise Suppression Solution for Automotive HQ Audio System
June 7, 2016 | MurataEstimated reading time: 1 minute

Murata Americas today announced the expansion of its NFZ series. This line of multilayer noise filters was developed specifically for suppressing radiation noise in audio lines while maintaining high levels of sound quality. Further, these new filters are suitable for automotive infotainment applications.
As the electrification of automobiles advances, so too has the demand for audio line noise suppression products. In addition to the above-mentioned benefits, this series delivers improved total harmonic distortion and noise characteristics (THD+N). These aspects serve as indicators for assessing both the distortion rate and noise of audio signals. The lower the values, the less the sound quality is adversely affected.
“Murata is unsurpassed when it comes to developing solutions that enable the automotive market to continue reaching new levels. Our commitment to and engagement with this emerging market will only further future advancements,” said Peter Tiller, General Manager, Component Group, Murata Americas.
Available in the 0603-inch (1.6 x 0.8 mm) package size, the new NFZ18SM_SZ series products achieve a high rated current in excess of 1A.
